Chicken Biriyani

Chicken biriyani is one of the popular rice delicacy of India. It is one of my favorite rice dish too. But I had never tried doing it so far. Recently I found a Indian biriyani recipe mix in one of the stores here and thought to give a try. It indeed turned out to be a good savor on my first attempt even though I took a risk of making it for a birthday party.

Vaangi baath
Vaangi baath is yet another dish of south India, usually prepared for breakfast. It is kind of fried rice in which brinjal (egg plant) is specifically used with a unique blend of spices. It is ideal as a lunch box ('obento' in japanese) package!
